I Don't Say I Love You Unless I Mean It

I once told a guy that I loved him. His response was, "I don't believe you." Why wouldn't he believe me? I've told him this so many times, he has told me he loves me many times before, so how didn't he believe me?

He said if I really loved him I would do anything for him. I wanted to do anything for him, but there was one thing I didn't want to do. Something I wouldn't do. It was the one thing he had been asking me to do for a while. He wanted me to send him a risqué photo of myself.

Every time he asked for one I said I would think about it and by the end of the day I would say no. Because of this, he didn't believe that I truly loved him.

At first I would hate myself for not being able to do this one thing for him. He loved me and I loved him, so why not do it? But now that I think about it I start to wonder, did he ever really love me? Or did he just tell me that to get what he wanted?

When I was a kid I talked about that with my parents and they told me what their parents told them and what I passed on to my kids.
When a boy says, if you love me you will! That's when it's time to say, if you loved me you would wait until I am ready.
Good for you. Stay strong. When you find someone who really loves you, he won't pressure you to do something you aren't comfortable with. And at no time share intimate pictures with someone who is pressuring you. Next thing you know they would be all over the Internet.
