Love isn't the same as in love.
"In love" is an intense but temporary state of being. Who wouldn't feel amazing while being constantly flooded with oxytocin?:)
Most people never make it past that part.

@Soossie makes sense. Love and barely controllable emotion go together. At least at the beginning of a relationship.
