Love is Resilient

Hand in hand shuffling along gently
through the softness of the moonlit sand
Ocean roaring in the distance coming closer
Can’t see it’s fury but I definitely know it’s there
Waves rolling in from horizons start
Great and mighty until rippled waves kiss upon the shore

Love came for us years ago
From humble beginnings
As the curtain rose the start of the show
We fielded many dramas with dark gray skies
Sometimes we weren’t sure if we’d still live if our love ever died

But love is resilient as it ebbs and flows
Love renews and never gets tired
Hopes and dreams might get tossed and turned
But in the end it’s our love that keeps playing out
It’s the true star of our continuing show
