I want to thank her for all the Love and kindness she showed me

I don't remember her face. I don't know her name. But I can never forget the gesture of love and kindness she showed.

She was a maid in my Aunt's house. Lived in a tiny tent like house close by. She lived alone. Had no family.

We were kids then.

When I visit my Aunt's home, I run around the neighbourhood with my friends. Hopping from one house to another. They always gave us cookies or sweets or something nice to eat.

On the way I would visit this maid's house. It only had one room. She didn't have anything to give me. But she would welcome me with a big loving smile and a warm hug.

Then from the sugar jar on her table, she would take a lump of sugar and place it in my tiny palms. I would dig into it straight away with a happy smile.

Sugar was all that she had to give me. But she gave it with a heart full of love. And it felt like the most luxurious delicacy in the world.

It's been over thirty years. Still, every time I remember those days, I feel her loving smile and the sweetness of her sugar lumps.

I can't remember her face. I don't know her name. I don't know where she is....wherever she is I wish to let her know....

Your Love and Kindness mattered to me a lot. Hope you are having a good life.
