Life and love.

I went to the cemetery today to put fresh flowers on my parent's resting place. I walked around a bit and noticed Johnny Horton is not many steps from my parent's. Just an observation without meaning. If your mom and dad are still alive, tell them that you love them....awkward maybe. But tell them.

I told a friend that just yesterday when we went out to eat lunch. Her dad is dying and probably won’t survive more than a day or two. They have never gotten along at all. I told her how I lost both my parents in 2001 and we had never gotten along either and I regret that I never made peace with them before they died. Same with my sister too. My friend made the decision to rent a care and leave last night to go stay with her dad in another state for his last days. She had not planned on going to see him until I told her that she would probably regret it later if she didn’t try to make peace with him before he died.

@Mardrae I didn't speak to my father for about 25 years before he died. Worst human being I have ever known.

Aw, relatable.
My Dad enjoyed Johnny Horton's music and sang some of his songs when he played guitar in the evenings.

@Magenta im happy to see someone who knows Johnny Horton. I was a Rush fan and Alex Lifeson the guitarist for Rush said he enjoyed Johnny Hortons music. And he's not far from my mom and dad.
