Hate is a funny thing.
It's a strong emotion maybe only second to love.
I find the amount of hate someone feels towards another person is comparable to the amount of attraction they have for them.

@Dainbramadge It be more fitting compared to lust, contempt. It's more immediate and leaving at the same time. Vindictiveness would be closer?

@Dainbramadge but isn't the root of vindictiveness somewhere, spite? Vindictiveness takes action, which makes it more of an action instead of a emotion....but I could easily write, I feel vindictive and many would know that expression? Hmm.
