You’re not a shape shifter, you’re not going to turn into the version of yourself that you think would be more lovable by the person you are trying to be loved by that’s not love that’s exhausting. ❤️‍🩹

Not only isn't it your job....you actually can't make someone love you.
The best you can do is to love them and hope that they can see and appreciate it. If they don't appreciate you enough to love you, there's little you can do to convince them to have a change of heart and mind.

I've learned over the years to just love them. If they can't love me..then nothing I could ever would do would change that. Can't make someone love you. Doesn’t mean I stop loving them of course. I just stop having expectations and as you say. Let them go when they leave
