The Lord's purpose in dying on the cross for our sins, was never to make us feel guilty.
It was to show the extent of His never ending, self-less love for us. To prove His love for us.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
He's not even mad at us. Not even a little bit. If He was, do you think He would have gone to the lengths He did, in order to save us? Absolutely not. Who would voluntarily die on a cross for another's sins, unless it was absolutely necessary? Who do you know, that would be nailed to a cross, to pay for your sins? The only one I know, is my Savior, Jesus. He is sinless and His loving nature looks for no wrongs or fault in us. He came not to condemn the world, but only to love us and save each and every one of us, from the condemnation and consequences sin brought to us.
True....He doesn't love sin, but He does love each of us, as individuals...AND unconditionally. That means regardless of our sins.
Our sins are no surprise to Him. He only wants to help us get ready for heaven. He does that, by honoring your faith in Him to set you free from the sins that separate you from your Heavenly Father right now...that is, UNTIL you ask Jesus to forgive your sins and then He honors your faith and trust in Him, by washing all your sins away. Not only that. He remembers them no more. You get a brand new start in life. Just as if you'd never sinned a day in your life. Now you're fit for heaven, where there is no sin, sorrow, or death, and you have now been spiritually united, bonded, and adopted into God's family, forever. We are secure by the promises of God to save us.
