How do you get your mind off someone you miss intensely?

Watching TV and playing around online aren't helping. Does anyone have any suggestions?

The pain will fade in the long term. In the short term try to see the pain as an energy. It's an energy that's at your disposal. Use it to exercise and get in great shape. Or use it to write some poetry or write some great music. Use it to advocate for your beliefs. The energy from your pain belongs to you.
