Not at first PM, but have had it hit me at first sight. Lasted 10 yrs too. But then things got in the way...like things going on inside me and same for her and then to add it together, no communication for either of us on what was going on.
But with PM's, people can say or do anything and you can't read their faces, their body language or see how they are while answering you. How the treat others around them. Something you can do face to face. Never know what you're getting in PM's

Did you ever try to reach out to that person?
I agree, physical and facial cues are missing online, but it does allow one to think things through before responding, as opposed to blurting something out you might regret later.
