Giving Your Heart

I think that after the first time you give your heart away, you never get it back. The rest of your life is just you pretending that you still have a heart. I gave my heart many times, I don't have much of a heart left....

Sometimes this simple thing gets confusing by outside influences. My heart always belonged to my first wife I loved her but we was forced apart by people thinking they knew what was best for everyone .
We had been together for many years (10-15) before we got married. We both loved each other. My wife had what some called a mental problem but it only bothered in crowds or a few times in new situations, ( she had panic attacks) everything went ok until we had a baby then her so called friend and case worker said she could not raise her own daughter we said we could together but people meaning to do well (department of human services) stepped in . Long complicated story made shorter. We did everything the DHHS wanted us to do made all appoints then when she was born we found out that DHHS had tried to take our baby from us right from the hospital and succeeded. 2 years in court later we was forced to chose give up our baby or to get a divorce and I could raise our daughter . We decided we wanted to keep our baby in our family. I had to divorce my wife . We could not even live together because of unfounded fears that mywife could become violent during a panic attack she never became violent any time in her life.
I had to raise our daughter they only allowed my wife supervised visits with her daughter after a little while I was allowed to be the supervisor but we could not live together. Sorry for going on like this . My wife passed away this year from covid but she did get to be with her daughter for the last 5 years. We should have been a family all along.

Thank you but I have life on my plate a big serving sometimes but we learn how to deal with it. We each have our share of problems as we travel the roads we chose to travel.@masterofyou

Some people can cut those feelings off some cannot. Others can but there maybe one that it’s impossible to stop loving them .
And than we have some that can just turn to ice and never give it a second thought

Not everyone is about emotions
Good for you

@Driver2 Not always. I’m a very emotional person actually but once I make my mind up I’m done. I don’t look back.

@Keepitsimple I know that

I disagree. I feel nothing whenever I see the person on my Facebook. He was my first everything and I don’t have feelings either way.

It takes alot for me to give my heart in the first place

When my heart is trounced on it takes a lot for me to be done ,I'm tolerant but when I've reached my limit I'm done for good
