Making me laugh does not seduce me, especially if they are trying too hard. I actually prefer some seriousness.

What I meant by materialistic is, Does it take something physically tangible to seduce you. Like money, or jewelery or fashion.

I agree…trying too hard to make someone laugh is worse than not being funny at all.
