I Don't Say I Love You Unless I Mean It

I don't say it very often because it just doesn't happen very often but when it does happen, wow! There's simply no other word for it. WOW! Just one word of caution. If their lines sound too smooth or too well rehearsed I'd walk country mile to avoid them. I agree with those like Bubbles who have said on this page that the expression is a bit over used these days. Real love may be many different things but it is never flippant.

In my life, (50+) I have watched "Creeping Familiarity" as a kind and a young adult,, first names were for your freinds and aquantences your boss, and other non personal interactions were Mr, S Miss L and what have you
Sales culture was where it slipped. "Call me Mike",,at the Auto Lot, an attempt to curry a more personal ( read less resistance) interaction, Real estate picked it up .. then soon it was everywhere, false familiarity
Now "I love you" has fallen into casual use as well and is so often insincere.
I DO love,, lots of ways,, not just romantically,, but the over use of any kind of language, debilitates it/

Hello SatyrService. Yes, I agree. In any product range the cheapest item on the shelf is never the best quality. The same applies to love, a product of the human condition. Anything that cheapens love devalues US. I am powerless to prevent it but I can avoid picking up the cheaper varieties.
Thanx Will
I like to say, cheap is not good, and good is not cheap
