I Love to Write
Cold and half alive
My feet skips across an icy street
My limps are frozen
With every step the black pavement bruises my heal
And forces me to radiate my heat away
With every kiss I grow less loving
In time my lips lose their ability to come apart
I cannot come apart
Unable to move my feet
I stand in this spot
Going no further
Letting my feet heat the earth beneath me
Slowly becoming cold
My feet skips across an icy street
My limps are frozen
With every step the black pavement bruises my heal
And forces me to radiate my heat away
With every kiss I grow less loving
In time my lips lose their ability to come apart
I cannot come apart
Unable to move my feet
I stand in this spot
Going no further
Letting my feet heat the earth beneath me
Slowly becoming cold
