I love the smell of freedom
One morning she opened her eyes and everything seemed brighter and her breathing felt lighter, the pain that once surrounded her heart was no longer lingering.
She could no longer feel the touch of their lips on hers and all the memories that tormented her night after night she could no longer remember.
When she looked back she felt nothing, she was free from the shackles that once held her close to that heartbeat that felt like home.
Her tears were all dried up and she sat smiling to herself because she was finally free off that pain of loving the wrong person.
She sat and knew that from this day onwards her life would only get better and she knew the lessons she had to learn.
