August writing prompts, #9 - 'Darkness falls'

While deciding my fate
She asked the Moon to wait
My heart caged, yet so enthralled

And I asked her to dance
Spelling romance
When the Moon's lighting stalled

Holding her close when we whirled
She whispered doubts when we twirled
And I knew the End when it calls

Still taking that chance on the Moon
Even when it had to leave so soon
Memory holds, when darkness falls
