The Truth of It

I’ve grown to understand you
Learned everything I could
Each day is an adventure
Most of them amazing
Some were a simple hurricane
But in our worst moments
When we were the most vulnerable
We took responsibility and talked
Sometimes for hours at a time
Because when you don’t hide the truth
You grow even stronger then you were
The truth matters even when it hurts
