I Love to Write

I believe

I believe in redemption,
I believe in forgiveness,
I believe in ever afters,
I believe in come backs.

I believe in second chances,
Third, fourth, fifth, sixth.
I believe in kindness
And in love's endurance.

I believe in free choice,
I am no one's owner,
I will not take
What is not given.

I only love the free,
Who carries no chains,
Who breaks away from bounds
Who stand by their choices.

To love is to choose,
A manifestation of free will
A demonstration of character
Who dares to care.

I cannot unlock a door
I didn't close.
I cannot force the wounds
to heal faster.

Time washes away the dirt.
Leaving shiny nuggets of past joys,
The gem that were lost,
Shine and sparkle anew.

I believe there is a time
And a place for everything.
The universe plays a symphony
It is our call to sing along.

And if our voice breaks,
If we get the notes wrong,
We must gather ourselves,
And make our voice heard again.
