Wrote this myself

"I used to get angered by the way our world has become. I would sit there and be enveloped by the belief that we had let it slide so far into despair that there wasn't a way out. Then I realised, maybe that's the kind of thinking that got us to this state in the first place. And that just would not sit well with me. So as begrudged as I felt to give in to hope, I did. And I haven't looked back since. Laugh at the little things, dwell on beautiful memories and cherish what you have, because it might not be there tomorrow. For even if the hope may seem foolish, it's still hope. And according to history, hope diminishes despair."

Without hope, there is no reason to be.
