Capricorn in Aquarius - Part Two

I closed the door and turned to face my father. He gestured to me to sit on the bed, then walked over to me. Without any further preamble, he asked abruptly, "Okay - where is it?"

I blinked up at him. What was he - ?

"I said, where is it? And don't tell me you don't have anything to show me, because Mr. Evans called me to tell me what he did and what he gave you to show me. Let me see it, Merry."

I pulled my bookbag into my lap and removed the folded blue notice with cold fingers.
I handed it to Daddy and waited. He read it over, then looked at me. "You know what this means, don't you?"

I shook my head.

'I'm taking back my permission to go to Mari's party. You promised tp behave, and you didn't. I don't think you deserve to go."

He left me sitting on the be, leaving the door open.

Tears filled my eyes. This was a crulety beyond comprehension. Mari was having special eighteenth birthday party and she wanted me to co-hostess with her. I had asked Daddy's permission and gotten it already...

I wanted to run away again...and for good.
