I Love to Write

I have spoken with you
while you lay secure
in the shadow of the Earth.
I looked out my window to see you
EX-HAL-ING
on the horizon.
I caught your breath with my eyes
and stole it away,
deep within my lungs -
I have breathed you in.
I have soothed your mind
and your heart
as you have run from a thick evil.
Feel the wind of a thousand races in your hair
as you crash into me,
our souls exploding like a waning star
and our vapors coalescing.
We exist no longer as recognizable matter -
time is no longer quantifiable,
and no longer are we slaves to chronology.
There is a universe waiting for we two,
and it's going to be impossible to miss it.
I know you can't see it,
but just keep looking...
