@SW-User No reason to be sorry. I can't say I write stories, I don't have the focus, but I do some minor storytelling through gaming, and its always interesting to see how stories change, no matter your best laid plans.

@SW-User Easiest example would be like any role playing game, where you have story you want to tell "A goes to B and does C" sometimes the other players don't see that story and swerve off it, and sometimes it just doesn't logically flow that way, though it did in my head.

@SW-User I personally run a D&D game, but thats like a tiny tiny piece of number of games out there. There is one game called Vampire the Masqurade, based on obviously being a vampire, but its a huge whole game and all based on "theatre of the mind", no props, just people telling stories and having them all interact.
