Letter to a Friend

So many days have pasted since
But I can still here the phone ring
It was then I learned you were gone
That afternoon the clouds filled the dusk
The sunset would not be brilliant
I close my eyes and your figure appears
But it’s not you but only a shell of what was
All that vibrant life was now memories
The laughter all had fell silent
But the new dawn will keep coming
I will keep getting back up each day
Knowing this world is just a bit less funny
Until we meet again rest well my friend.
