I Love to Write
What a cruel and horrid day,
Forced my love to run away.
And in the ashes left behind,
Her image lasts as if divine.
As the questions start to give,
Within her breath I wish to live.
In the air of all her hope,
With the dreams that now elope.
But here I stand with all the ash,
With questions that we couldn’t hash.
And as her footprints start to fade,
In deeper waters, I start to wade.
Back into the dark within,
All my troubles growing thin.
For even now I feel her there,
Carried on my breath of air.
Forced my love to run away.
And in the ashes left behind,
Her image lasts as if divine.
As the questions start to give,
Within her breath I wish to live.
In the air of all her hope,
With the dreams that now elope.
But here I stand with all the ash,
With questions that we couldn’t hash.
And as her footprints start to fade,
In deeper waters, I start to wade.
Back into the dark within,
All my troubles growing thin.
For even now I feel her there,
Carried on my breath of air.
