I Love to Write

Through the dark and frosted night,
Dream the silent dream tonight.
Cross the growing jagged rift,
As you slowly start to drift.
Far away from where you are,
As if you were a shooting star.

See the wonders all around,
Never seen from off the ground.
Gaseous giants on the right,
Glowing in the dark of night.
Spinning out there all alone,
As the planets slowly roam.

Spiraling now around a mass,
Much too tempting just to pass.
Trying now to change your course,
Up against a growing force.
Stardust bounces off your skin,
Heart now pounding deep within.

Feeling as if tightly bound,
Wrapped and pulled down to the ground.
Tempting fate with all your will,
Using each and every skill.
Skimming past a blacken hole,
Toughly tugging on your soul.

Witnessing the curving light,
In your dark and daring flight.
As if you now have touched the sun,
You bring an ending to your run.
Darkness grabs you from the sky,
Makes you feel as if you’d die.

And in the free fall you do wake,
Tumbling in a massive quake.
Tangled in the sheet you rode,
Off the bed in your abode.
And in the peace of dying light,
You smile at your dream tonight.
