I Love to Write

When do the stars realign with fate,
Creating a destiny we love to hate,
The twists and turns we never see,
That make us question how can it be?

When does the world turn upside down?
Replace with a smile what was once a frown,
And even though we never know,
We always question which way to go.

We overlook the luck we have,
For misery that loves to laugh,
Sabotage the things unknown,
And play it off as if we've grown.

But in the end truth will be told,
Happiness is for the bold,
The ones to go against the grain,
Enduring all the bursts of pain,

Pushing through the doubts inside,
Opting for the bumpy ride,
And so I choose the path within,
Your heart is what I wish to win.
