I wonder if I was one of the few who saw a possible link back in 2016, between Donald Trump both trying to claim Greenland, and his denying climate-change? Most commentators seemed to see these are separate matters in his election campaigning and cack-handed foreign "diplomacy".

The co-incidence made me suspect Trump secretly knew about a warming climate, albeit while calling it a lie to help him gain votes, and probably unable to understand the science anyway, and wanted to encourage it to profit from it. Notwithstanding any risk of deleterious effects on low-lying, storm-prone coastal areas of his own country
