What American books should be banned in the UK?

@SW-User It originated in my community and was very old African American slang for "enlightened". The white racists here corrupted its meaning and apparently the white supremacists on your side of the pond jumped on that bandwagon. 🙄

@bijouxbroussard We now have woke bishops. Stained glass windows in cathedrals are taken down. Statues of Winston Churchill removed.

@SW-User Well, that’s not what the term originally meant. It had nothing to do with you folks. That’s what I mean by "corrupted". The whites here took a term they didn’t understand, changed its original intent and then got mad at the meaning they gave it ! 🙄

@SW-User And I guess you didn’t notice that I agreed with you ? I don’t think any books should be banned. We lose when people who are in charge do that. Incidentally, banning and burning books (records, etc.) is a tradition of our right-wing pundits. They benefit by keeping the population uneducated and not exposed to anything beyond our borders. Leftists tend to be more traveled and better educated here.
