I'd actually forgotten about the 23 Abril date, I have been "away" from Shakespeare studies for so long . . .
Although most likely he wasn't born on this date (his exact birthdate is lost to the sands of time), I remember thinking how cool it would be to die on one's birthday.
A dignified death, pre-determined and well planned-for, seems to me to be a perfect birthday present to myself, when I am ready to cross over . . .
