Was Robin Williams suffering from some mental issues before he died ? If so, ironically could he have afforded Dr.Phil with all his money?

Robin was suffering from a condition called Lewy Body Dementia. Unfortunately, dementia is progressive, can’t be cured and counseling isn’t that helpful, though if it were, he no doubt could’ve afforded a better therapist than Dr.Phil.

After his autopsy it was revealed that he suffered from Lewy body dementia, its a brain disease similar to Parkinsons.

He did however, commit suicide, by hanging himself but he may not have been in his right mind when he did so.

Mental illness is wild like that

It's ironic that an unusually sober ending to a Mork & Mindy episode had him listing the name of a bunch of celebrities who died early, several by suicide. It's ironic that he was recruited by Bobby McFerrin for the video to the naively optimistic Don't Worry Be Happy.

Maybe I sometimes jump to conclusions this way, but when something like happens I often think: hard drugs + no external pressures + suicide = mental illness
