Ok I was just wondering…

If white is the abundance of color and black is the absence of color then “white noise” is the abundance of a certain frequency of noise and “black noise” is the absence of any frequency of sound therefore “black noise” is technically silence but does silence have a sound?? Is the absence of sound a sound in its own right??

Colored noise is like this, but with sound frequencies. In the same way that white light is a mixture of all the colors in the rainbow, white noise has equal energy across all audible frequencies of the sound spectrum. In this sense, black noise would be the sound of silence, just like darkness is the absence of light

I wonder… what would you say?

Please consider, the VIBGYOR spectrum that we discuss, is only a part of the whole spectrum which ranges from infrared to ultraviolet !! So, black body may be merrily spreading light only our retina cannot register that light.
Similarly our ears catch only one range of sound waves, (sometimes in a closed room, we remain unperturbed but dogs suddenly 'hear' & react, to some vibration or smell.)
Considering this, black noise would be absence of frequencies which human ears can sense.
