Sometimes we can love the life we chose and still wonder about the one waiting behind a different choice.

Who would we have become?

Who might have walked beside us?

Where would we be now?

Optional prompt:

Write about someone or something you chose to leave behind, even though part of you wanted to stay.

Creative twist:

Let two versions of the truth exist at the same time.

Your piece doesn’t have to be about romantic love. The road not taken might be a person, a career, a city, a friendship, a dream, an opportunity, or an entirely different version of yourself.
