A Summer night

That I wished would never end

On the swings in the park - feet pointing to the sky - trying to kick but not hurt the fireflies

We jumped then landed on Earth without hurting our then young knees

And in the woods with Penny - she was older than me

It was so warm and her big brother built a Dam on the Brook which is a River in the Spring

We sat there sweating and kissing with our feet dangling in the water.

The moon shimmering finally and the bugs finished biting us then we fell asleep under the stars.

This is so lovely. I felt the sentiment and the nostalgia attached to it.

@Magenta Thank you for saying - it's one of the feelings I had and somehow lost...and would be so happy to regain...my guess is I'm not alone in this...

@ChampagneOnIce I hope it works out - I really love summer evenings...they are magical - that was an actual experience, except at 17 I had to go home before falling asleep....but have thought many times how nice that would have been...
