here stands the tree of shade on an isle

swept by wind

the tall grass waving in the breeze above the beach

and the tall blue sky swirling indivisibly above us

feel the cool air rush by through the heat

sweet relief from the intensity of the blazing sand radiating heat from the sky and sun above

blazing heat .. feel it through your bones melting you

how the light turns people dark and the darkness makes them pale..

down under the ground in the deep south they live in tunneled caves under the earth to escape the heat

but here we dive into the sea and swim with the fishes..

while birds cry overhead
