these days come and gone

these days it feels like I am on tour somewhere driving along the winding country lanes past the cows or horses grazing, feasting on grass or maybe feeding on these huge hay rolls that sit in the pastures on some farmers land

these days it feels like I got lost somewhere in the longevity of life days filled with hazy sunshine and often sleepiness endless nights

sometimes I wonder where the streets of the city disappeared to; the city, my city, the big metropolitan one with all the noise and the traffic, the tall buildings, the smiles and the frowns, the joys jubilant and the scares worse than my worst nightmare

I'm a city guy always was but never been

I'm between two places these days country lanes hills and mountains small town America trying to act big its a party place but I'm no party animal, I'm just a guy who has seen life though if you ask some they'll say I don't know what life is cause I didn't live the life they did or saw the things they saw but I've seen my fair share and maybe they'll be more for me, a chance at what my heart yearns most for but we will see but I'll tell you one thing, if it comes my way, it'll be from a place I've not even considered, hoped or looked at, if it comes I'll know from whence it came
