Lilly in the rain

like a bright sprig of pink in the corner of the lawn

a surprise .. pleasantly a gift of the earth

no more will i hunt for ghost of the past

no more open to emptiness and voids

no more calling into the deep

crying in the day and night

you've turned me to happiness and light

a friendship i didn't know i needed

i began to know..

a breach was closed

and flowers bloomed again in the spring
