the walls within the rivers

are referred to as a dam

some are built by beavers and others by man

(i just felt like writing a rhyme)

i walked over one on a small creek in the woods

i turned around and saw a snake slithering down

away behind me where i had just stood

i never saw a beaver just their work and

a fish in the creek swimming round his lil pool

and a stick in the mud which reminded me of a story

but then the neighbors where shooting into the woods from the pond above me

but i got home safely with an abandoned dog behind me

who latter adopted a cat.. but that's another tale
