I wish I could write again
trace the fringes of your innocence with my pen

I wish I could write about you again
But you left without word or address

I wish the pencil felt in my hand the same way as your finger tips once did

I wish my mouth could speak and my tongue move
without wishing you were still in the room

I wish I could say your name without fear that I am commiting a grave sin
