Walking the Valley Road

Wandering in the valley
Looking for a sign
This walking and wondering
When will it finally come to an end

Been here to many times
But not for a very long time
Thought I’d never see
This place ever again

It’s not like it’s hot and sweltering
It’s not like it’s cold and freezing
It’s just that I find myself here once again
And though I don’t see the reason why

But just because I don’t see the reason
Doesn’t mean there isn’t one
I don’t believe in happenstance
And it’s definitely not circumstance

No, I’m here cause of what I cannot see
The spiritual realm holds my answers
The powers that be are so beyond me
The universe deems this to be true

I’m not gonna pout
Or cry and stamp my foot
I’m not gonna cry foul
Maybe in the past I would’ve

No, I’m just gonna walk the ways
Of what lay ahead
Let the Spirit of the Lord be my compass
I’ll find redemption road

There’ll be no posted directions
But I’ll know
