Rambles and A Short Blurb

I used to write a lot. I used to think, a lot. I analyzed my life, my relationships...I overthought ever aspect of everything. I put a lot of those thoughts into writing. Kept a lot to myself. I never lost my love for writing, but I did lose the ease of my word flow....what was once a consistent waterfall of thoughts is now a dam of insecurities and doubts. I’ve been forced to ‘keep things short and quick’ for so long that allowing words and ideas to flow comes unnatural to me now. I’m hoping, with time and practice, I can get back to writing freely. Imagining freely. Creating worlds of fantasy freely. Perhaps by simply writing freely here, I can learn to set my mind free again. I don’t know if my writing will get any better, but you know what they say. Practice makes perfect. I don’t know about that, but practice certainly can’t hurt.

So, I’m going to do totally random babbles here. None of my ‘good’ ideas. Which, to be honest, I died laughing at earlier. Some of my ‘good’ ideas are so absolutely ridiculous. But hey, if you can’t have fun and laugh at yourself or dare to take risks sometimes, what’s the point? You’ve got to just take that leap!

So, first random snippet...here goes...

A small smile tilted my right cheek up, humor twinkling in my eyes as I watched her profile. Her eyes were big and bright, full of innocence and joy, as she gazed at those watching her. Little did she know of the love engulfing her in that room. All eyes on her, the great entertainer who marveled at the laughter and applause directed at her, she repeated her performance again and again. Her enthusiasm was unwavering and inspiring. Her eyes were those full of dreams and promise. As she turned those eyes onto me, I instantly knew deep down that I would do anything to ensure those dreams and promises became unbroken realities. As her mouth opened into the most radiant, exciting smile you ever did see and her arms flew out to immediately wrap around my neck I was certain she could sense the unspoken promise my heart had just committed to for her sake. I took her hand in mine as we stood and walked side by side away from her adoring fans and watched as her confidence grew with me by her side. There was never a love more pure nor a heart more full than mine in that moment. I could only hope to pour all of that love back into her heart, day after day. They say you get what you give, and I had certainly been given more than I’d ever asked for when she came into my life.
