Good Morning

Rainy morning and a bit cool too. Excellent day to write. I'm on my "sun" porch looking out over my keyboard getting my thoughts together as I watch the horses graze to my left and the rain bouncing on the pond off to their right causing a dance of splash. Please enjoy your day as you do what you do on a Wednesday. One of the great things about being retired is doing what you want to do. I may be old in body but young in mind and spirit. I love this life, don't you? If not you should. There's so much beauty in it that the ugly is just a small henderence. Believe in love and joy of the heart!

I was grateful to retire at 60 resulting from my service in the U.S. Navy. It was a hefty sacrifice for a young man in my 20s but has certainly paid off for itself now.

@Pfuzylogic Never saw service was classified 1-H but I honor all that did and do serve. Great job. Enjoy your retirement and keep the love!

You must have seen the draft during the Vietnam Nam era. I was glad to have the choice in 1979 and chose the Navy.

@Pfuzylogic Yes, Vietnam was hot and heavy.

I never faced armed conflict although I did earn an Indian Ocean expeditionary medal for the Iranian crisis in 1980. You showed up, that makes the difference for the defense of our country.
