I Express Myself Through Writing
My walls are high... high enough to make sure anyone that dares to climb them knows it won't be easy.
Is it ever meant to be easy? It shouldn't be, prove to me you are worthy and I will let you in, I promise.
But if you hurt me the walls go back up, they have to protect my heart from being wounded any more.
If I allow you in I do so because I love you & you mean the world to me. Please don't fill my heart and ears with lies, please don't promise me something and let that promise go unfulfilled. Stop hurting me to my very core.
If I trust you enough to let you in don't break that trust , don't make me question if you deserve it. Know that I gave it to you freely so please don't jeopardize it or treat it with disrespect.
Don't make me question myself or this relationship . Give me your heart freely and I will love it more than I can put into words .
All the doubts you've had about love, life, jobs, friends, let me take those burdens from you and assure you that I will take care of you, love you, comfort you & be your person.
At night when you are alone, know that I'm there with you in spirit, in your heart & you in mine. Feel my arms around you , holding you close, inhale my scent , the one you love and smell on your clothes when we have to leave one another.
Spend time with me, love me and encourage me to grow. Nurture me and our relationship and you will receive that back threefold.
