New Idols (Title too short)
Will we survive this new jungle?
Nothing organic -Nothing real
Wires, circuits, and artificial intelligence
A new kind of dangerous animal
Lurking behind a screen
Forgetting how to rely on God and ourselves
We have carved ourselves new idols
Fashioned in our own image
Only repeating what we want to hear
Ease, comfort, luxury
Replace thrift, hard work, and waiting
Everything is in the now
And nothing seems to last
Having a religion without rites
Except for those in our own minds
Hollow superficial existence
Passing itself off as holy and good
A Brave New World
An illumination
Breaking of restraints, we think
Only to find ourselves more enslaved than ever
Nothing organic -Nothing real
Wires, circuits, and artificial intelligence
A new kind of dangerous animal
Lurking behind a screen
Forgetting how to rely on God and ourselves
We have carved ourselves new idols
Fashioned in our own image
Only repeating what we want to hear
