When Giving Back Gives Even More.

I spent the day volunteering at a children’s home, and my heart is still heavy tonight. Seeing those little faces, so full of innocence, yet marked by pain no child should ever know, broke something open inside me. I went there hoping to give a little of myself, but I think I received far more in return.

Cooking and serving dinner felt like such a small act, but I know God has a way of taking even the smallest offerings and turning them into something meaningful. Those children reminded me of the power of love, of showing up, and of how deeply we’re all called to care for one another.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about fostering. Maybe this is God’s way of placing that calling on my heart. It’s a big decision, one that would involve my whole family, but tonight made it feel like more than a passing thought. It felt like a quiet whisper from above, asking me to listen.
