Finding Balance Between Light and Dark
Lately, I’ve been realizing how much of life is about balance, between the light and the dark, good and evil, empathy and distress. We all want to believe we’ll always choose the light, always do what’s right, but sometimes the darkness whispers louder. Sometimes it feels easier to give in to anger, to numb out, to walk away instead of standing firm in grace.
It’s hard holding onto the light when the world around you feels dim. It’s hard choosing the right thing when the easy thing would bring faster relief. But I’m learning that balance doesn’t mean perfection, it means acknowledging both sides exist within us. The light and the dark, the strength and the struggle.
I take comfort in the words of St. Francis:
The real challenge is to keep choosing the light, even when your hands shake and your heart aches. To keep believing that good still matters, that empathy is still worth giving, and that doing the right thing, though harder, is what keeps your soul alive.
Some days the light wins easily. Other days it’s a fight. But every time you choose it, even in the smallest way, you tip the scale back toward hope. 🌒✨

Even when I feel weak, when I’m tempted to let go, that reminds me that light still shines, even if it’s small. The darkness doesn’t get the final say.The real challenge is to keep choosing the light, even when your hands shake and your heart aches.
