i know it is horrible when 2 parties fight and use the people as hostage. my brother and his wife are sick. he has leukemia and they depend on food stamps to survive. i told them i would send them another 100.00 hoping this ends soon.

What's really making me upset is the people who assume everyone is abusing the system.
My daughter is disabled, she can't work ,she's an adult.
I know another family that jobs, both have one, barely pays for the rent and utilities and they depend on these food stamps.
Not everybody needs them of course, but it's going to hurt the ones who do; so we should not assume everyone is milking the system ,cuz that is just not true.
And I am not a liberal just to be clear.

@idontcareok yes they do but fed minimum is 7.25
idontcareok · 70-79, M
@WifeTanya that is very low, where you live what is state minimum
WifeTanya · 56-60, C
@idontcareok minimum wage varies state to state. Ours is 150 but many states it’s 7.25. Federal minimum hasn’t been raised in years.

It's the problem of every extreme capitalistic system. And yes the USA has gone extreme capitalistic. Just like China is another form of extreme capitalism.

The only difference is China is a socialist capitalism and this is a Democratic capitalism. Russia? An oligarchic authoritarianism.

The commonality? Capitalism.

AI analysis of my statement only..

Capitalism in Different Systems

Your perspective on the nature of capitalism across different political systems is fascinating. It highlights the complexity of economic frameworks and their intersection with governance.

Extreme Capitalism in the USA

The USA has indeed adopted a form of capitalism that some argue leans toward "extreme" in terms of wealth inequality and deregulation. The focus on individual entrepreneurship, minimal government intervention in the market, and emphasis on free markets has led to significant wealth accumulation for a small segment of the population. This can result in limited social mobility and increased economic disparity, which raises questions about the sustainability of such a system.

China's Socialist Capitalism

In contrast, China's socialist capitalism combines state control with market-oriented reforms. The government plays a significant role in guiding the economy while still allowing for private enterprise. This model aims to harness the benefits of capitalism—such as growth and innovation—while retaining authoritarian control, which can stifle political dissent.

Russia's Oligarchic Authoritarianism

Russia's system can be characterized as oligarchic authoritarianism, where wealth and power are concentrated in the hands of a few individuals. Here, the government maintains strict control over many aspects of life, promoting certain capitalist practices while also suppressing dissent. This creates a unique blend of controlled capitalism that often prioritizes the interests of the ruling elite.

Common Thread: Capitalism

Despite the differences in governance and implementation, the common thread among these systems is their reliance on capitalism as a central economic mechanism.

Each country faces challenges related to its form of capitalism, including issues like inequality, corruption, and the balance of power.

@JohnnySpot Keep in mind you might have to state to use 2025 references with some statements. Especially political statements. By ChatGPT mini, without some other references, it will think it's October 2023. Therefore Trump isn't president to ChatGPT 4.0 mini, rather Biden is president.

The system is broken because people are too blind to see that they voted for this.
Project 2025 is available to read. Go read it.
People are going to be hungry. They won't be able to afford medical care. People will lose their jobs. Their homes.
A hungry and sickly populace is very easily manipulated. Look how easy they are manipulated simply by instilling hate and fear. Add in some desperation and you have the perfect scenario. A mob of hungry, fearful, hateful people against those they hate so badly. Who, btw, will be hungry fearful and driven to hate as well.

When I go to the store and see someone stealing, I saw nothing! These are multi billion dollar corporations.

"But prices will go up.". Theft is already factored in. Let someone eat.
Actually, a judge is looking into this, now - it's probably not even necessary or legal for the Washington government to cut off food aid at all because of this government shut down.
But expectations form nine tenths of the law. The expectation of Americans changes from whatever to, like whatever for whatever reason.

well, give as mush money as you can, starve a little to help them, shelter them, drive them around, it seems you care so much, do as much as you can and more, sell a kidney, and a lung, that will help

@SomeMichGuy a few in my small town, 50 mile radius are bigger cities, that goes on a lot, not in my area,
@idontcareok So most of this is inference from others' stories.

Did you not report the two?
Nevertooold · 56-60, M
He regards us as peasants and he has no time for peasants...He's never cared about anything unless there was something in it for him....and the people voted him in....not once but twice!!!
Ramrod · 46-50, M
You got that right, way to many people miking the system and everyone knows it.
JohnnySpot · 56-60, M
It's not that difficult to put food on the table.
FoxyGoddess · 51-55, F
@JohnnySpot Glad it's not for you. For 41.7 million Americans, it becomes a choice of food, rent, utilities or transportation to work.

Maybe you can help by giving them food to eat.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@JohnnySpot it is for some with very low paying jobs, widows like me looking for employment , people who are disabled.
With high cost of living there's always someone who's going to fall through the cracks and to have no compassion is alien to me.
JohnnySpot · 56-60, M
@Darksideinthenight2 @FoxyGoddess @Justmeraeagain I got that sentence from Jeanette Walls. She wrote The Glass Castle, true story.

True.

DJT appeals to all the selfish instincts.

He asks us to be WORSE than what we typically are, not better.
And if that was not bad enough they want to end school meals taking food from literal children for ideology points.
