I was talking to my thetapist yesterday about future plans for income after I complete my transition. I talked about how I seem to have a knack for finding value or beauty in people or things that are overlooked by others. I call it my Cinderella Complex. Midway through my explanation, I stopped cold and realized that I was projecting my wants out into the unknown in the hope that someone would see the beauty in me (Jess) and that they'd fix me up to be beautiful. Within a millisecond, I realized that the fairy godmother I've always wished for has been with me the whole time. That fairy godmother is me.....
