Or am I looking at a stranger whose feelings and choices I could not understand anymore?

I look long and hard at the reflection. Do her eyes convey peace and happiness? Or do they battle with angst and restlessness?

This reflection in the mirror is never going to be anything other than exactly what I don’t need in my life.

@CookieCrumbs I think reflection is perhaps more accurate for the time being. The person will heal and move on and still be just as beautiful as she gains wisdom.
