🖤 I look at the reflection in the mirror. Am I looking at myself?

Or am I looking at a stranger whose feelings and choices I could not understand anymore?

I look long and hard at the reflection. Do her eyes convey peace and happiness? Or do they battle with angst and restlessness?

This reflection in the mirror is never going to be anything other than exactly what I don’t need in my life.

Is it because the longer you stand in evaluation, the chances of you interpreting things differently would be greater?

@CookieCrumbs perhaps friend, but the bullets of information and understanding passing before your eyes can become often, overwhelming. Sometimes, we need to turn away from the mirror, as....it never lies.

@CookieCrumbs ....Merely, that understanding that if we're honest with ourselves, we cannot outrun what we see, yet if we step away quick enough, we might convince ourselves that we have viewed something else....
