August 11: Rise
This one resonated with me. How can we help but rise when we've fallen?
I've been down in that deep well of sadness, of despair, where hope is hard to find. There was a time when that darkness took over my outlook, changed me. I'm not the person I was before, and that's ok. There are lessons in experiences, and if you live, you learn. Every day.
The darkness isn't as present for me now. I dug myself out of the hole, with the help of good friends, and I'm joyful again, grateful for the life I've built.
No matter how hard it gets, rise. The darkness doesn't last forever, and dawn is about to break.
